About the Artist

Patrick Smith was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He began drawing at an early age and has pursued this desire his whole life. He obtained an Associate degree in Drafting and Design in 1994 at Pittsburgh Technical Institute. In 1999, he began to study under James Sulkowski of the Sulkowski Academy of Classical Art. Sulkowski taught Smith drawing techniques of Renaissance Masters such as Leonardo da Vinci and Albrecht Durer. It is in this tradition that Smith expresses his concepts and ideas on art.
